National Association of Purchasing Management – Chicago (NAPM-C)에 의한 사업활동의 매월의 조사는 유일하고 시기 적절한 일반 경제 활동의 측정을 제공한다. 활동 중에 시장을 움직일 만한 가격 지불대는 전반적 시장의 관심을 산다. 미국 경제의 시기 적절한 측정을 제공하는 산업지표는 NAPM-C membership의 200명 정도 선택된 회원으로부터의 조사의 결과로부터 측정될 수 있다. 이 조사는 매월의 마지막 일하는 날인 미국 표준시 오전 9시에 발표된다.

 

The monthly survey of business activities by the National Association of Purchasing Management – Chicago (NAPM-C) provides a unique and timely measure of general economic activity. The survey is released on the last working day of each month at 9am USA Central Time.

 

The National Association of Purchasing Management - Chicago compiles a survey and a composite diffusion index of business conditions in the Chicago area. Manufacturing and non-manufacturing firms are both surveyed, but until recently, market players have believed that the survey primarily covers the manufacturing sector. Readings above 50 percent indicate an expanding business sector. The NAPM - Chicago is considered a leading indicator of the ISM manufacturing index. (이코노데이 버전)

 

전미 구매관리 협회 시카고 지부는 시카고 지역의 사업환경에 대해 조사하여 종합지수를 산출하고 있습니다.  제조 및 비제조 기업 모두가 조사 대상이지만, 최근까지 시장에서는 제조 부문이 주된 조사대상이라고 생각해 왔습니다.  NAPM - Chicago가 50%를 넘을 경우, 비지니스 영역이 확장되고 있음을 나타내며, 또한 이 지수는 ISM 생산지수의 선행지표로 간주되고 있습니다.  본 지수는 오랜 역사를 통해 산업활동과 인플레이션의 좋은 지표임이 검증되어, 미 연방준비은행 또한 이 지표를 유심히 관찰하고 있다고 알려져 있으며, 그 결과 금융시장 또한 본 지표에 상당히 민감하게 반응하고 있습니다.
